Ground Cherry Jam

A sweet, delicious, homemade jam made with ground cherries, pineapples, and strawberries.

Servings 6 half-pints


  • 3 Cups Ground Cherries
  • 1 Cup Pineapple Diced
  • 1/2 Cup Strawberries Diced
  • 1 Box Low-Sugar Pectin
  • 3 Cups Sugar
  • 2 TBSP Lemon Juice


  1. Cook the ground cherries, pineapple, and strawberries together, letting the flavors mingle. They should cook for 5-10 minutes.

  2. Add in the lemon juice and let cook another minute.

  3. Use a blender or immersion blender to create a nice texture to your jam.

  4. Mix the box of pectin and 1 cup of sugar together in a separate bowl then whisk it into your jam well. Make sure there are no lumps.

  5. Whisk in the remaining 2 cups of sugar, ensuring that all of the sugar dissolves thoroughly.

  6. Bring to a rolling boil for 1 minute and take the jam off of the heat to avoid burning.

  7. Fill your jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Clean off the rims, put on clean lids, and process in a water bath canner for 5 minues if you're canning half-pints and 10 minutes for pints.
